Grey Market Protection is a Scottsdale, Arizona-based security and risk consulting firm serving corporate clients, executive leadership teams, and hospitality operators across the region and nationally. Our work is grounded in direct operational experience — not academic frameworks — and every engagement reflects the standards and discipline developed through nearly two decades of law enforcement service.
The firm was founded by a current law enforcement professional with 18 years of experience in a major metropolitan police department, including service as a Police Lieutenant, Watch Commander, and SWAT Commander. That operational background is not incidental to what we do — it is the foundation of how we think about risk, how we assess environments, and how we develop solutions that hold up under real-world conditions.
Our principal brings a command-level perspective to every engagement. As a Watch Commander, he has overseen patrol operations, managed critical incidents, and made high-stakes decisions in time-compressed environments where the cost of a wrong call is immediate and visible. As a SWAT Commander, he has directed complex, multi-agency operations requiring detailed advance planning, precise coordination, and contingency management across dynamic threat environments.
That experience directly informs how we approach corporate and executive security. Threat assessment, advance work, operational planning, personnel coordination, and post-incident analysis are not consulting concepts for us — they are skills developed and tested in the field over nearly two decades.
Beyond law enforcement, our principal serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), the preeminent professional organization for law enforcement tactical operations in the United States. That role reflects both a commitment to the discipline of public safety and an ongoing connection to national best practices, emerging threat doctrine, and the law enforcement and security professional communities.
We are able to provide our clients both operational depth and business-level perspective when evaluating security program costs, liability exposure, and organizational risk.
Security consulting is only valuable when it reflects the actual environment a client operates in. We do not apply a single methodology to every engagement. We assess the specific threat landscape, evaluate existing controls, identify operational gaps, and develop recommendations calibrated to what your organization can realistically implement and sustain.
We work with a select number of clients at any given time. That is intentional. It allows us to give each engagement the attention it requires and deliver work that meets a standard we stand behind.
Grey Market Solutions works with corporate leadership teams managing executive protection requirements, travel risk, and organizational security programs. We also work extensively with hospitality operators — including nightclubs, hotels, entertainment venues, and restaurants — who need security programs built by professionals who understand the legal, operational, and liability dimensions of that environment.
Our clients share a common characteristic: they take security seriously and want a consulting partner who does the same.
